Preaching Through Ephesians

We are past the 2/3 mark of the book of Ephesians. The text is rich and helpful. The men who have been doing the teaching are from a variety of ages and stages of life, but the commonality of Scripture have taken part in a unique project, the teaching of the letter from the Apostle Paul to the churches in the first century known as Ephesians.

Here is the reading of the text from Ephesians 1 – 4 from each of the men. Be encouraged.

Gather with us on Sunday evenings from the remaining two chapters.

Over the Weekend

This past weekend at the church house (Eastside Baptist Church) in Twin Falls, Idaho. Video and audio of all gathers are archived HERE.

Right now, there is a renewed interest in two primary gatherings of Eastside Baptist Church.

The Mid-week Prayer Gathering is a time devoted solely to corporate prayer. The past month several months have seen increased participation in person and online. As many as 25 people of all ages gathering together for prayer and an average of 4 households from out of town logging in online to pray (log-in for this is password protected, contact Paul Thompson for instruction and password).

The other gathering steadily growing is the Sunday evening gathering. For the past three weeks 9 men in the congregation are doing the teaching. Attendance has been in a steady increase as this progresses on. Before beginning the book of Ephesians an average of about 12 people would normally return on Sunday evening. Last night, we reached an all time high for a regular Sunday evening gathering of more than 50 people and 9 households logged in online from all over the region.

Dear Kirby Woods Baptist Church

Dear pastor Collier and Kirby Woods Baptist Church,

My name is Paul Thompson, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church in Twin Falls, Idaho.

I want to express appreciation to you and your congregation of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. This past week Dr. Frank Jones has been with us teaching through the book of Ephesians. Pastors from four churches in our area were present and a total of 28 people attended the EQUIP training for churches on mission. Thank you for sending him.

I was pleased to spend several days with Dr. Jones. He speaks fondly of his home church and family. He was a blessing to Eastside Baptist, the Magic Valley Baptist Association, my family and especially me.

He labored diligently while here speaking a total of 9 sessions through the book of Ephesians and preaching on Sunday morning. I was able to show him around the area between his teaching duties.

On Sunday morning, Dr. Jones preached from Ephesians chapter one on the glory we give to God in all circumstances of life. It was a powerful message. Listen here…
