An Open Letter to Hope Baptist Church

To the Elders and the Members of Hope Baptist Church who gather at 825 Averette Rd, Wake Forest, NC,

Like the apostle Paul, I greet you in the blessed name of our Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ.

My name is Paul Thompson, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church in Twin Falls, ID. Your pastor, Scott Brown, and his wife, Deborah, recently traveled across the Mississippi, the Rockies, and two time zones to lead a regional gathering of churches from Montana, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Wyoming, and Idaho. You should know that Scott and Deborah were God-glorifying representatives of your church.

The investment they made in families and churches will have a lasting influence. I’m sure you know the treasure our God has given you. I just simply want to say out loud what you already know. My church and my family are thankful to God that you allowed your pastor to lead this Strong Families = Strong Churches Conference last weekend.

You won’t be surprised that Scott spent most of his time listening to and speaking with pastors and families. The moment your pastor arrived, he immediately started building and investing in the Lord’s kingdom. It is not missed on me that you have given Scott permission to travel like this. Your investment in allowing this is appreciated.

A thankful church in Twin Falls, Idaho, is blessed by your kindness.

In the everlasting joy of the Lord Jesus Christ and until His return, press on.

Paul Thompson
