Family Friendly Now Means Nothing

June, known to some as “PRIDE” month is not as “family-friendly” as some local groups want you to believe their sexually deviant celebrations are. I will include exhibit “A” at the end of this post so you can decide now if you want to see what is considered “family-friendly” by the Twin Falls City Council.

Let me devote this paragraph to warning you that you may not want to see what you will soon not be able to unsee after you see it. The setting is at the beautiful City Park in the heart of Twin Falls. It is on the same bandshell stage that the longest-running city band west of the Mississippi will perform every Thursday night all summer long for what we could argue is a “family-friendly” event. What you are on the verge of never unseeing again was at the 2021 PRIDE celebration in Twin Falls, Idaho aka – the “let me show you how much we hate God” event. You will notice children present, you will witness a man dressed up in women’s clothes, and you will then see that same man begin to behave like a teasing – undressing woman dancing and receiving money from the audience like a cheap stripper in a sleazy gentleman’s club – that is anything but gentlemanly. Notice how uncomfortable some of the children are when this freakish entertainment dances by them and in front of them. What you won’t see is anyone being arrested – after all, this is against the law. You won’t see the city police – not because they weren’t there, the video just doesn’t show them. What you also won’t see is the Twin Falls City Council at a recent council meeting voting to approve this kind of event without question. (To be fair, I asked them about this, only to be told that the group organizers promised to keep the event “family-friendly”.) Group organizers have promised to keep this kind of behavior behind closed doors and limited to age-appropriate audiences.

This is not how you seek the favor of God in your city. This is how you invite the judgment of God. Your city council will continue to advance this wickedness being celebrated as natural and normal so long as the church promotes it or remains silent.

Did I mention the churches promoting this kind of wickedness? There is no reason to protect the integrity of the Twin Falls United Methodist organization, the Our Savior Lutheran organization, or the Unitarian Universalist group because there is no integrity to protect. Then again the vast majority of the evangelical churches in the city are either silently ok with this or live in the fear of men rather than the fear of God.

Well, you have either skipped all of this and ran straight to the wickedness because of curiosity or you have not closed the page in fear of never unseeing what you are about to see.

Some will say this is not very bad. I don’t deny it could have been worse. But you won’t find this kind of scene in a Disney movie with a family-friendly rating… wait… that may not be true anymore.

This is true… this is NOT “family-friendly”. I urge you to contact the Twin Falls City Council and the Twin Falls Police department to express your thoughts. I have.

I stopped by the Twin Falls police department and had a conversation with the non-elected chief of police.

He proudly pointed to a “black lives matter” poster on his office wall, and declared that it represents his commitment to “diversity” because it was in response to an average “black man” killed in Minnesota (ignorantly implying that every black man commits felonies and does drugs). When asked how it related to Twin Falls, he had no example. In fact, both he and the city manager (whom I also spoke with), stated that they believe that Twin Falls has been a great community for the duration of their non-elected careers in wich they have lived here (paid by tax payers).

Speaking of diversity, I asked the chief if he was aware of the large immigrant population mostly of Muslim and Christian faith. He stated that he is and dialogues with them. I asked if he is aware of both faiths’ view of sexuality. He stated he is. So I asked if he dialogued with the mosque or churches of the immigrant community prior to posting rainbow regalia to the Police Department facebook in honor of a sexual movement. He stated that he had not.

So, we have an non-elected official, paid by the taxes of residents of this great city, who makes decisions based on Minnesota and his own whims towards sexuality, with no desire to consider the thoughts of Twin Falls residents as a whole. Furthermore, this was for a matter with no actual connection to crime prevention (which is what his job entails).

When presented with the fact that a father’s presence in the household has a huge impact on crime prevention, Mr. Kingsbury admitted it to be true. Yet, in a month in which Fathers are to be celebrated, the Twin Falls Chief of Police chooses to support sexuality instead.

I suppose this should be the expected result when a non-elected official is put into a position by a non-elected official. Government at its finest.

      Thanks Eli,
It is best when we have a government that is accountable directly to the people. You have articulated important things here.

I’m glad that you speak out on such subjects. Do you also speak out at church?

      Darlene,
Thanks for stopping by my page here. I do speak out on these subjects in my church. I am an expositor preacher and I address every subject the Bible brings up. The Bible is timeless and relevant and no wicked vice of man is new under the sun. Our local fellowship is happy to be under the authority of Scripture and we desire to robustly follow God. Thank again for reading. If you don’t have a local church fellowship, come gather with us some time… Sunday 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
