Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The preaching text for this coming Lord’s Day morning is Genesis 12:1-9. Find time, if you haven’t already read this, to read it as a family before we gather together. Also, remember this is a shared meal on Sunday and the theme for the meal is lasagna. Bring lasagna and/or something that compliments lasagna. We will eat in the Thanksgiving Room right after the morning worship assembly.
Catechism Question for this week, and for the next few weeks to focus on these attributes of God.
Q: What is God?
A: God is Spirit (John 4:24) infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.
Also, please participate together in responding to the following elements (liturgy) of our gathering every Sunday.

The song we sing after the Lord’s Supper is what we call our “Fighter Song”. This month our “Fighter Song” is Crown Him With Many Crowns. Please respond together when we finish this song by saying “Amen!” together.

Wilderness Institute of Biblical Manhood
We are one week away from the inaugural rendezvous of the Wilderness Institute of Biblical Manhood. Strong men are welcome.
(We have also been invited to join other men from another church for breakfast at the Golden Coral at 9.)
Here are some important things to bring with you:
Knife, Bible, pencil/pen, paper/notebook, dryer lent/belly button lent, canteen.

Beginning on Saturday, February 17, I will begin a monthly men’s ministry to stir the brothers to rise up in this great day God has given us. The spirit of the American freeman is suspected of being timid, imitative, tame, and effeminate. Not for us, brothers. May a church of Biblical men exist in our day because we believe ourselves inspired by the Almighty to do so for His glory. Join the brothers on February 17 at 11AM in the Thanksgiving Room at Eastside Baptist Church. At these gatherings we will discuss Biblical theology related to manhood, we will work on sharpening our skills to love our wives as Christ loves the church and training our sons and daughters to become men and women in a society that has stopped looking for this to happen. We will also spend time thinking through home security, financial planning, survival skills, hunting, etc…
