Dear Second Baptist Church, Ogden, UT,
This past Lord’s Day your pastor and his wife and several from your church traveled to Twin Falls, Idaho to minister to the Eastside Baptist Church. I’ve pastored here for over 17 years and I’ve known your pastor for over 25 years. I wanted to just simply express my joy in the Lord for the friendship of your pastor and the faithful reputation of Second Baptist Church and your commitment to the preaching of the word of God.
This past Lord’s Day evening brother pastor Petty preached from Genesis 22 on genuine worship. It was doctrinally sound, contextually anchored, and spiritually encouraging. I’ve had the kind privilege of God to sit under the preaching of your pastor several times over the years in our partnered gospel work and find all experiences to be the same.
We were encouraged and blessed with your choir who traveled with him and Mrs. Petty. They were so kind to us to come after a long day and a long journey. I’m sure they all made sacrifice to come. Please encourage them for us when you greet them this coming Lord’s Day for coming to Twin Falls. It really was a blessing.
May the Lord be pleased to reap a lasting harvest to the souls who were here last Lord’s Day evening. May the Lord be pleased to advance the Gospel among us in our day and in our cities.
