Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act – 2019

The time is short.

I make not apology for my appeal to all God fearers of Idaho.

There is a proposed bill, the Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act, in front of Idaho House of Representatives. Here’s my encouragement to all God fearing followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, as described by the Bible; it is important that we communicate to Rep. Steven Harris who is the Chairman of the State Affairs Committee. This committee is a starting place for this bill. As of yet, Rep. Harris has not given the proposed bill a formal “hearing”. If the bill does not get a formal hearing it will not be allowed an opportunity for debate or public hearing. It is important that we speak to this matter.

What can you do?

An update on three ‘statements’ that are circulating throughout the state.

  1. Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement: as of Feb. 11 there are 81 pastors from 30 of 202 cities in Idaho signing this statement. May God give us more pastors willing to sign this statement, representing exponentially more people across the state. There are many more God fearing pastors in many more cities that have not heard of this opportunity yet. Pass this on to them today without delay.
  2. Mother’s in Idaho: as of Feb. 11 we have 131 women from 25 of 202 cities in Idaho signing this statement. There are God fearing women in many more cities that have not heard of this opportunity yet. Pass it on to them today without delay.
  3. Men of Idaho: as of Feb. 11 we have 79 men from 25 of 202 cities in Idaho signing this statement. There are God fearing men in many more cities that have not heard of this opportunity yet. Pass this on to them today without delay.

The time is short. May God have mercy upon the state of Idaho.

Don’t forget:

  • When communicating with government that you are first an ambassador of Christ’s Reconciliation and you have potential opportunity to bear witness of Christ to an unbeliever.
  • Be courteous, kind, gentle, careful with your speech.
  • Keep in mind, our hope is not in men. Our hope is in Christ alone. Keep your eyes upon Him.
  • Be grateful for God’s mercy and grace.

“Drip down, O heavens, from above,
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
And righteousness spring up with it.
I, the Lord, have created it. (Isaiah 45:8)

The Seduction from Virtue

Slowly, ever so slowly, society has been seducing professing Christians away from Biblical virtue.

What was seen among professing Christians 50 years ago as lewd behavior is now being seen with increasing acceptance into what’s been being called a new shifting normal.

This shift away from Biblical virtue, once seen as a desire of the professing follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, has been largely replaced, across the generational lines, with a wide sweeping acceptance and promotion of debauchery.

The follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, as defined by the Bible, must keep themselves on the alert.

Here are some things you could do to keep yourself from “falling asleep” while called to be alert.

  • Read the Bible: This discipline cannot be over looked. The reason many professing Christians have a problem with being seduced from Biblical virtue is because so many professing Christians aren’t reading their Bibles.
  • Believe the Bible: Another reason there can be such success over the professing Christians to abandon the commandments of the Bible is because they don’t believe the Bible to be the only accurate source to know who God is. This is a contributor to why more Christians don’t read their Bibles today; If you don’t believe the Bible to be the authority of God then there is really no desire to even want to read it .
  • Fear of the Lord: When there is no fear of God, foolishness becomes normal behavior. The Bible claims that the beginning of wisdom and knowledge is the fear of the Lord. When there is no fear of God, people will no longer believe the Bible to be true and when people no longer believe the Bible to be true they will quit reading it and when people stop reading the Bible (and churches stop preaching/teaching the Bible) we are now ready to be seduced from Biblical virtue and live with and at peace in that seduction.

What are a few things you should take a close look at?

  • Your Entertainment: Entertainment is enjoyed because it is something we desire. If your entertainment is driven by things the Bible warns for the believer to stay away from then the professing believer has to do one of two things; Change the things you are entertained with or stop reading your Bible. Sadly, most choose to stop reading their Bibles.
  • Your Friends: Friends are a kindness of God. If your friends are not influenced by a healthy hunger and thirst for righteousness then they will be feasting on the dung pile of filthiness. If you find your friends are hungry and thirsty for debauchery then the professing believer must do one of two things; Change your primary influencer (friends) or stop reading your Bible so you can start telling yourself how good it is that you have close friends who don’t follow God. Sadly, most choose to stop reading their Bibles.
  • Your Desires: The desires of our hearts are likely the best place to look closely at. We will do what our heart desires. This is why so often you hear people say to just “follow your heart”. According to the Bible, your heart can’t be trusted. You have to direct your heart or your heart will direct you. The professing follower of the Lord Jesus Christ must learn to discipline their heart to want what is holy and righteous or stop reading your Bible. Sadly, most choose to stop reading their Bibles.

The Bible instructs the follower of Christ to test themselves to see if they are in the faith. Let’s try this out.

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Twin Falls, Idaho, a live talent show to seduce people away from virtue will take place. Debauchery is the seduction from Biblical virtue.

Magic Valley Repertory Theatre presents Ursula’s BATTLE ROYALE 2! Starring and hosted by the marvelously beautiful Magic Valley Drag Sensation Ursula. Ursula’s Battle Royale 2 is calling all queens and kings! Join us for a talent battle of epic proportions! Presented by Magic Valley Repertory Theatre at the Historic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Twin Falls! The one and only “Ursula” hosts her very competitive Battle Royale on the stage! A group of competing Kings and Queens will compete for the top spot as the areas top drag performer!

Test yourself here Christian.

  • Will you attend for “entertainment” purposes? What does this say about your entertainment? Have you read your Bible on this matter?
  • Will your friends be attending or promote this as just silly fun? Will you say “the performers are really talented and you just enjoy good talent” to justify your hunger and thirst for unrighteousness? Have you read your Bible on this matter?
  • Will you spend your time and money to laugh at what God declares unholy activity and somehow not have the energy (really desire) to study your Bible this week, pray with other Christians, gather for worship of God as a set-apart people?

Apparently fewer professing Christians live in the fear of God

The Mirage of Same-Sex Marriage

In her statement released on Tuesday, May 13, 2014  U.S. Magistrate Judge Candy Dale said, “After careful consideration, the Court finds Idaho’s Marriage Laws unconstitutional.”  (full ruling)

I thought that I should read the ruling before offering a response. I’ve just finished reading the ruling. Wow, that was not easy.

First the positive effect of reading the ruling; my vocabulary has now deepened. The value of reading the ruling will help me know how to express my thoughts. I now know what I’m responding to.

The ruling will not go into place until Friday morning. Unless a stay on the ruling is issued, by the ninth circuit court of appeals requested by Gov. Butch Otter, county clerks will be required by law to begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Now, an early response of concern; as one charged by my church to be a pillar and buttress of truth, I must speak against the ruling from the vantage point of Holy Scripture.

From Judge Dale’s conclusion (V Conclusion, page 55)

“The Plaintiffs are entitled to extraordinary remedies because of their extraordinary injuries. Idaho’s Marriage Laws withhold from them a profound and personal choice, one that most can take for granted. By doing so, Idaho’s Marriage Laws deny same-sex couples the economic, practical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of marriage, relegating each couple to a stigmatized, second-class status. Plaintiffs suffer these injuries not because they are unqualified to marry, start a family, or grow old together, but because of who they are and whom they love.”

To U.S. Magistrate Judge Candy Dale,

No, U.S. Magistrate Judge Candy Dale, regardless of your decision on the matter, marriage is an order given to humanity by God for His glory. I respect that you have made a significant decision for Idaho, but your decision is not in defense of the creator of marriage. This is no simple ruling you have made, it has lasting ramifications.

This indeed is a complicated ruling.

Obviously homosexuals and heterosexuals are equal citizens and equally capable of accomplishing amazing feats. This orientation of sexual attraction does not declare one superior to another. All of humanity face problematic conflicts with what God has ordained holy and acceptable. We have laws that forbid certain actions based on the welfare of all. Polygamist are forbidden by federal law to attain a marriage license  for more than one spouse. This limitation is not a discrimination against this person’s ability or value to culture. It is a limitation based on the definition of the word marriage.

The ruling today is not a ruling for homosexuals. God is opposed to those who practice homosexuality. Homosexuals in Idaho are loved by God and given strength to overcome the attraction of their wretched heart that wants to do that which is offensive to God. Just as adulterers are called on to not give in to their sinful craving of being disloyal to their spouse. Liars must not be allowed to live out their debase craving of deceiving the federal government on their tax reporting. Giving the homosexual the ‘right’ to marriage is no favor as you suppose. It may afford them secular benefits, as you surely argue, but where is your jurisdiction to rule on things spiritual?

My response is not to defend heterosexuals. Heterosexuals are equally capable of offending God. My response is from my duty to speak for biblical truth. For the welfare of homosexuals and heterosexuals who reside in the great state of Idaho, repent of your ruling.

To Governor Butch Otter,

Where I’m thankful for your bold stand against same-sex marriage and upholding the law of Idaho, I am concerned about your defense. Fundamentally we agree that marriage is an institution between one man and one woman. However, marriage is not “an ancient and traditional child-centered institution, one focused first and foremost on the welfare of children rather than the emotional interests of adults.”

Marriage is an institution ordained by God focused first and foremost on His glory. A blessing of marriage between male and female is children. Yes, I agree with you in that a family is the optimal place for a child to be raised, and that family is with a mom and dad, but this is not the defense of marriage. It is good argument for a child’s welfare but not a defense of marriage between a man and a woman.

Thank you for your work on this matter. I am praying for you. I am praying for your staff. I am praying for Idaho. May the glory of God be your defense of marriage.
