Where I know nothing about the situation unfolding in the Boise area related to a baby that was removed from his parents I am compelled to enter a few thoughts and questions about a situation that doesn’t seem to add up to righteous justice. Yesterday, the judge ruled to place the baby into the custody of the state.

  • The family has been holding press conferences each day since Friday, March 11, 2022.
  • Primary documents show no record or history of abuse or neglect.
  • A Boise judge rulled against the family on March 16, 2022.
  • Cyrus in now in the foster care system and his family does not know where he is.

The state is no parent and should never be expected by anyone to be such. And should never be trusted to be a parent.

Do you know what kind of day you live in when your children belong to the state? You live in a wicked day where justice is not served, God is not feared, and your children are not your children. Are there times a child needs to be rescued from abuse and neglect? Of course. Is this one of those times? I will put it all on the line and say ‘NO’!

Here are a few of my questions…

  • Where is a just sheriff in the Treasure Valley who would risk everything to stand up like a man and tell CPS or the State of Idaho that this will not happen on his watch.
  • Where are pastors in the Treasure Valley? Sipping a latte at the coffeehouse with his buddies?
  • Where are the fathers in the Treasure Valley? Do they know that a child has been removed from his home by the state, arguably without cause?

Save The Date

I’m working with some friends to host a conference at Eastside Baptist Church this Spring, April 22-23, 2022. Where we are in unpredictable days, we have the confidence to stand upon a foundation that is unshakable.

If a man can compete as a number one rated female swimmer and be cheered by the world as heroic then it is clear everything is mixed up. A conference on manhood and womanhood has been done before but it is time for biblical clarity.

Days like this will require extraordinary resolve by a people belonging to God to stand strong while the battle rages. The Bible will be a lamp of our feet in dark days and the light always, always chases the darkness from the room. Psalm 1 is a helpful lamp in times like this. Ecclesiastes reveals “that which has been is that which will be…” and Jude informs the reader to contend earnestly for the faith handed down to us.

Let’s gather this spring in Twin Falls and be prepared to contend for the glory of God.

I’m pleased to announce that we have secured pastor Toby Sumpter of Christ Church in Moscow, ID to be here for both days of the conference to speak of the confidence we have in Christ. To The Word!

If your pastor is under the influence of the propagandists and not the Word of God then that puts you at risk of being under the influence of a double-minded man.

I give you exhibit A.

If your pastor is “driven” by motivational speakers like Rick Warren, Tim Keller, Russell Moore, Ed Stetzer, Beth Moore, and many others then it is time to set up an appointment with your pastor to lovingly caution him of how easily these celebrities are being used to advance propaganda. Not the propaganda of the media but the propaganda of a government that has lost its privilege of being taken seriously.

If your pastor will not listen to your reasonable caution then gather with a people led by a man of God who will give you the Word. Then go influence the world with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith leaders driven by the pragmatic means of Rick Warren will be proven false shepherds unless they repent. I am calling out the propagandists for my sake and for the sake of my church family.

Stop listening to Rick Warren. Gather the people of God and get to the Word, immediately.

Pastor or Ted Talk Speaker

The craving of the flesh is no small thing. The man in the pulpit is under great temptation to fear man rather than God.

I present to you exhibit A.

Does the man stand behind a pulpit or sit next to a lampshade?

Does he read from a Bible or a TV monitor?

Does he tell you what God says or serve up a plate of mush?

I just read a sad article from NotTheBee of a “prominent” SBC church in Florida with a clip from his sermon yesterday. In an attempt to give a gracious benefit of the doubt to the unknown-to-me preacher, I found his archived sermon from yesterday… and sure enough… he served up not just a plate of mush, he baked up an entire pan of mush.

As a local SBC (Southern Baptists) pastor I want to publically say that what this man fed the Lord’s people who gather at First Baptist Church (FBC) in Orlando, FL, was mush. He may want to be known in Orlando as one of the pastors at FBC who loves and welcomes everyone by fearing men rather than God then he can do so, but there is no kinship with Eastside Baptist Church in Twin Falls, ID pastored by this unknown-to-him preacher.

In the most loving way I know how to say this;

“Danny de Armas, until you give clarity to your mushy words, you have no open invitation to stand behind the sacred desk at Eastside Baptist in Twin Falls, Idaho. God’s people here will not put up with that. Your eisegetical “Ted Talk” is best suited for the deceived not like the church of Thessalonica, (the text from which you mentioned). The letter from the apostle Paul was to the church at Thessalonica, not the pagan citizens. This church in Thessalonica began after the townspeople rioted following His preaching. His affectionate partnership was for those who surrendered their pagan idolatry, not those who embraced their wicked lifestyles.

Warning to the saints at Eastside Baptist Church in Twin Falls, ID: If ever in Orlando, FL, surely there are churches pastored by men of God who know how to preach and shepherd God’s people. Attend that church, not this one.”

On January 16, 2021, I joined pastors across North America to preach in solidarity with our brother pastors in Canada who are now facing a real and present danger of jail time for preaching Biblical Sexuality. I addressed the issue from Isaiah 64 and Romans 1.

When there is widespread unbelief one should expect widespread consequences of that unbelief.

A call to Christians throughout Idaho to rally together at the Idaho Statehouse on January 21, 2022, in Boise, Idaho at 11:00 a.m. in support of the Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act that is scheduled to be introduced to legislators during the 2022 legislative session. Invite everyone you know. Ask for the day off of work. Bring your children.

Every Thursday for the past several years I gather at local radio station KLIX for an hour-long program hosted by Bill Colley. Bill is the host of Magic Valley this Morning on Newsradio 1310 KLIX. I gather with local pastors to discuss current events from a Biblical worldview. It is a pleasure to do this regularly with “Bear” Morton from Magic Valley Bible Church and Christopher Folkerts from New Covenant United Reformed Church.
