Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act – 2019

The time is short.

I make not apology for my appeal to all God fearers of Idaho.

There is a proposed bill, the Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act, in front of Idaho House of Representatives. Here’s my encouragement to all God fearing followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, as described by the Bible; it is important that we communicate to Rep. Steven Harris who is the Chairman of the State Affairs Committee. This committee is a starting place for this bill. As of yet, Rep. Harris has not given the proposed bill a formal “hearing”. If the bill does not get a formal hearing it will not be allowed an opportunity for debate or public hearing. It is important that we speak to this matter.

What can you do?

An update on three ‘statements’ that are circulating throughout the state.

  1. Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement: as of Feb. 11 there are 81 pastors from 30 of 202 cities in Idaho signing this statement. May God give us more pastors willing to sign this statement, representing exponentially more people across the state. There are many more God fearing pastors in many more cities that have not heard of this opportunity yet. Pass this on to them today without delay.
  2. Mother’s in Idaho: as of Feb. 11 we have 131 women from 25 of 202 cities in Idaho signing this statement. There are God fearing women in many more cities that have not heard of this opportunity yet. Pass it on to them today without delay.
  3. Men of Idaho: as of Feb. 11 we have 79 men from 25 of 202 cities in Idaho signing this statement. There are God fearing men in many more cities that have not heard of this opportunity yet. Pass this on to them today without delay.
(updated at 11:25 p.m. on February 13, 2019)

The time is short. May God have mercy upon the state of Idaho.

Don’t forget:

  • When communicating with government that you are first an ambassador of Christ’s Reconciliation and you have potential opportunity to bear witness of Christ to an unbeliever.
  • Be courteous, kind, gentle, careful with your speech.
  • Keep in mind, our hope is not in men. Our hope is in Christ alone. Keep your eyes upon Him.
  • Be grateful for God’s mercy and grace.

“Drip down, O heavens, from above,
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
And righteousness spring up with it.
I, the Lord, have created it. (Isaiah 45:8)

In Wrath Remember Mercy

This past week on the weekly Pastors Round Table, with Bear Morton, Christopher Folkers, and Keith Thompson (no relationship) we had the opportunity to speak about the Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement.

Listen here to the conversation, pray for our state legislators, pass this on to a pastor you know, encourage them to sign this statement.

Thank you to Bill Colley and news radio 1310 KLIX. Bill hosts this weekly one hour segment during his Magic Valley This Morning program from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. Pastors Round Table is every Thursday from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Signers of the Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement

After one day of appealing to pastors across the state of Idaho we have 34 signing a unified statement to Idaho legislators showing our support of the Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act.

I’m rejoicing in the Lord for these 34 early signers. May God give us hundreds more. If your pastor wants to sign this unified statement send him to this link: https://www.paulthompsonblog.com/the-pastors-of-idaho-mercy-statement/

At this point, there are more cities without pastors signing the statement than cities with pastors signing it. I’m asking you to help us spread the word. We must be ready to act quickly in a day like this. Thank you for contacting your pastor or pastors you know who would be willing to sign with us.

Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement

Along with my friends Bear Morton and Christopher Folkerts, we have just finished the “Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement”, a favorable statement in response to the introduction of the Idaho Abortion Human Rights Act of 2019 by Rep. Heather Scott and Rep. John Green.

Here is the link to the full statement. Pastors of Idaho Mercy Statement

If you are willing to help, would you please pray with us that we can communicate this statement to every evangelical, biblically ordered pastor within the state of Idaho would at least hear of this statement and then, when lead by the spirit of God, be willing to sign the statement.

Pray specifically for Rep. Heather Scott and Rep. John Green. The two state representatives have been under great opposition already by fellow lawmakers. Pray that God will strengthen them for this day.

The movement of bills can sometimes move very fast, sometimes with only a day notice of when the bill is ready for public hearing. It is paramount that we act now to communicate to the State of Idaho lawmakers that we, the people, want a hearing on this law.

More ways you can help:

  • Email this link to every pastor you know and ask him to consider signing it.
  • Share this link to all of your social media pages to help spread the word.
  • Listen to our live discussion with Bill Colley on Magic Valley This Morning on KLIX Newsradio 1310 on Thursday morning, February 7, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
  • Pray for the mercy of God to fall upon the state of Idaho.
