The Death Sentance for the Preborn?

“This is with regard to the “option” of sponsored abortion in the case of rape or incest.  I am against it for the following reasons. I am convinced that each and every life is sacred in the eyes of our Lord, and the child conceived via rape or incest is no less valuable than any other. The propensity toward rape is not hereditary.

I fully recognize the anguish the victim might suffer, but rather than kill the child, I would be for killing the rapist. To sentence the rapist up to three years, while sentencing the child to death is outrageous to me.

There are lots of folks to blame in any unwanted pregnancy, but not the child. The child in question would be no less eligible or desirable for adoption than any other. This from someone who has raised two adopted sons, and multiple foster children.

Finally, the instances aforementioned comprise less than 1% of the total number of children aborted annually, and serve primarily as a “foot in the door” for other abortions.  I am against any exception justifying the killing of an unborn child.

 

P.S.   We waited four years to adopt a four year old. Perhaps a revamping of the State guidelines w/regard to adoption is in order.”

“Is an abortion acceptable or even Biblical for cases of rape and incest? The definitive answer is NO! I want to think that those who support such an idea have good intentions. They want to show compassion to the victim. But in all reality there are two victims here. The mother and her conceived baby. Would we ever punish a living child outside of the womb for someone else’s sins? Of course not. So why would we want to abort a child in the womb as if they were the perpetrator? What sin did he or she commit? Don’t think this is outside of God’s sovereign reign. It is not. And by all means do not even think that God is the one who ordained the sin. He did not. But let me ask you this question, does God ever say to anyone, in the Bible that He wants you to respond to a sin with another sin? And of course the answer is no. Why on earth would we even think that way?

God creates life. King David says in Psalm 139:13-16 in response to the omnipotent God,

“For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written. The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”

Psalm 139:13-16

Such an abortion, or for that matter, any abortion destroys the life of another victim. Oh and by way of statistics, USA today says out of all the reasons why women have abortions only 1% happened because of rape and less than 0.5% was a result of incest (USA Today, May 24, 2019). I am one who does not rely on statistics or say they have much authority but I think you can see how little this ever comes up as a reason for anyone to abort a child. More importantly, God is our authority and He says no to any kind of abortion. To be pro-life is to be pro-child no matter the reason. For Idaho’s sake there is only one bill that will end all abortions in the state of Idaho and that is HB361. As a pastor and a father of 5 girls, I plead you to submit to the God of the Bible and obey His truth. All abortions are sin. Is there grace in Christ? You bet there is, but our mindset shouldn’t be “oh God will forgive me.” Those thoughts are just as sinful. Trust in the One who creates life. Trust in His truth, for He is the only One who has authority on this issue.”

Abortion is a Sanitized Term for Infanticide

“Is there a condition or situation that would deny the propositions of these two texts? The Word of God claims that all human beings are made in the image of Almighty God. It makes no comment regarding the circumstances of their conception or birth. Our own Declaration of Independence assumes this premise and then extrapolates that because all human beings bear the image of God, all human beings possess certain rights that cannot be taken away. The chief and foremost right that every single human being possesses is the right to life. Idaho House Bill 507 525 seeks to dispossess a particular group of human beings of that fundamental right based only on the circumstances in which they were conceived.”

“Abortion is a sanitized term for infanticide. HB507 HB525 denies the Word of God that all mankind bears His image and it denies the very basis upon which this country was founded. HB507 HB525 does not state that apportion is morally wrong; it suggests that in most cases it is undesirable. We disagree with this premise and position. Every human life, regardless of the manner in which it was conceived, reflects the image of our Creator and therefore possesses the same unalienable rights as you and me.”

Concerning HB507

Late last week a bill was introduced in the Idaho House State Affairs Committee (HB507). This bill would defund most abortions in Idaho. This is meaning the removal of state, county, and city funds for abortions, except in cases of rape and incest. I would say I am not opposed to the intention of the bill; I don’t want public money being used to pay anyone for murdering any children. I respect the effort and intentions of the sponsors of the bill. The problem was that the Attorney General wanted them to include the exception clauses. This doesn’t work. If life begins at conception then all life begins at conception, not just some. It either does or it doesn’t.

The bill was introduced late last week and has been on the agenda then removed from the agenda. As of today, Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 it has not appeared back on the agenda. But, it is still an active bill and now is the time to begin communicating with legislators on the State Affairs Committee.

Dear Rep. Zollinger and Rep. Zito,

My name is Paul Thompson a pastor in Twin Falls, Idaho. Thank you for the effort you are putting forth to keep public funds from being used for abortions. I am hopeful for a day in Idaho when abortion will be completely abolished. Thank you for your effort toward this too. What concerns me about HB507 is that public funds are still available to abort children conceived by rape or incest. I appreciate that you are looking to cut funding but this bill still gives permission of the state to terminate the life of these children.

To be clear, I’m in favor of the intent of your bill to not fund abortion with Idaho money, I just think the bill falls short of being a righteous bill interposing for all children. I do respect what appears to be your intentions. Please understand when I come to testify and when I come with many other pastors to testify against this bill we are not opposed to what you are doing in principle. Idaho Code agrees with the Bible that life, all life, begins at conception (Fertilization).

Let’s stop talking about funding of abortions altogether, we can abolish abortion completely. Join me in supporting and requesting the House Ways and Means Committee to give HB361 (the Abortion Human Rights Act) a hearing. In the power of God, abortion can be abolished in Idaho this year.

Your god Is Too Small

I have been advocating for the preborn in our region for several years. The past three years I’ve been much more driven to act than before. I only wish I could have been where I am from the beginning. After becoming aware of a group of abortion abolitionist active long before me, I have become more aware of how to engage in this holy duty.

I’ve been appealing to the City of Twin Falls, the County of Twin Falls, and the State of Idaho with urgency on the issue of abolishing abortion from our city, county, and state. At every level I’ve been welcomed with respect and kindness, for this I’m thankful. However, at every level everyone points their finger to some other jurisdiction. They say; We agree with you, but…”, “We want to do something, however…”, “The moment we do this Planned Parenthood will sue.”, “The Supreme Court this, the Supreme Court that…”

I’m sure the reader here will know this, but in the event you don’t, babies in the womb are being murdered in the city of Twin Falls. The number of the most vulnerable preborn children has reached jaw dropping heights. Since 2008, shortly after Planned Parenthood opened in Twin Falls, with the majority Republican law makers, 2,114 babies have been murdered… I’m not talking about in Boise, I’m not talking about in Salt Lake City, I’m not talking about in California, I’m talking about in Twin Falls, Idaho.

There is no way to overlook this. This is happening in our city on our watch.

Join me, it’s time to act now!

No longer – no more!

If your God cannot move you to act upon their behalf, then your god is too small.

If your God does not wake you at night with the bloodguilt of these children, then your conscience is seared and your god is too small.

If your God moves you to preserve the party at the expense of life, then your god is too small.

If your God has convinced you that Planned Parenthood s too powerful, then your god is too small.

If your god is sure the Supreme Court of the United States will not allow you to protect our most vulnerable neighbors, then your god is too small.

If your God won’t move you to act now on their behalf, then your god is pitiful and helpless and should be avoided at all costs.

I’m writing today to invite you to turn your eyes upon the Almighty God, fear men no longer. Rise up as men and women of God.

What kind of people are we anyway?

The kind who sits in the corner with our eyes closed, our ears plugged, and our heads in the sand while giving permission for a tyrant to murder our children? Or are we the kind of people who will stand up and demand; “No more, no longer!” will we sit by and do nothing.

The mayor of Twin Falls intends to issue a proclamation on Monday, February 24 at 5pm requesting state legislators to act immediately on a bill that would abolish abortion this year in Idaho. Would you consider attending that meeting on February 24 as a voice of agreement with the mayor? This is no small thing this mayor is willing to do. Don’t let her speak or stand alone. State legislators have had a bill ready for action since mid January, almost a full month now. House Bill 361 (the Abortion Human Rights Act) is in the House Ways and Means Committee.
